This weekend I headed out to an old tower I had heard about in northwestern Connecticut. The tower was only about a quarter mile in from the parking lot. Its completely made from stone and almost resembles a light house. As you head inside you climb 2 flights of stairs and walk out another door to a cement staircase which spirals up the side of the structure. The stairs are pretty sketchy and one step is missing. Once you get to the top you have an awesome view of the Litchfield hills from about 50 feet off the ground. The roof immediately grabbed my attention, most of the shingles were missing which let the sunlight shine through the small slits between the lath.
